Managing API Keys for Third-Party Integrations

Create, view, and manage API keys for connecting external applications to your Nextvisit AI account

Updated over a month ago

Accessing API Keys

To access your API keys:

  1. Click on your user profile in the bottom left corner of the screen

  2. Click Settings (gear icon)

  3. Select API Keys from the menu

Note: If you don't see the API Keys option, your administrator has disabled this feature for your account.

What You'll See

The API Keys section displays all active integrations connected to your account. Common entries include:

  • EHR integrations: "EHR v1.0 Web"

  • ClinicalConcert: "ClinicalConcert v1.0.1 for iOS"

  • Other third-party applications you've authorized

Creating New API Keys

You can create new API keys for third-party integrations directly from this section. Each key provides access to your Nextvisit AI account data and functionality.

Managing Existing Keys

For each active integration, you can:

  • View key details

  • Revoke access when no longer needed

  • Monitor which applications are connected to your account

Important Security Considerations

⚠️ API keys provide high-level access to your account. Use extra caution when creating and sharing these keys. Only create keys for trusted applications and revoke access when integrations are no longer needed.

Rate Limits

All API requests are automatically rate limited to prevent abuse:

  • Per minute limits

  • Per hour limits

  • Per day limits

  • Per month limits

Most normal usage won't exceed these limits. If you approach or exceed your rate limit, you'll receive a notification. For specific use cases requiring higher limits, contact our support team for review.
